- Seed Saving workshop with Jo Newton
November 5, 2016
2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saving seeds is an essential skill in completing the gardens natural cycle, from seed to seed. It is the most basic way of carrying on our heritage/native varieties of fruits and vegetables from generation to generation.
In this workshop you will learn how to ensure the continuation of rare crops and gain ‘hands on’ practical tips and advice about:
- saving seeds
- tips on selection
This event will cover the ins and outs of basic botany and will inform you how to keep varieties going from year to year. All going well, you should also go home with a few seeds for your own garden.
