Painting from Nature 2-day acrylic painting workshop with Roisin McGuigan
Using acrylic paint, participants will and explore light and colour, composition, form, surface and pictorial space and will focus on elements of the natural world.
The 2-day workshop is suited to those looking to improve their painting skills but will include demonstration and practical assistance.

Roisín McGuigan’s practice encompasses painting, drawing and mixed media. Her work uses the iconography of landscape to reflect issues of identity and relationship with place.
McGuigan lives and works in Dublin and is a graduate of National College of Art & Design and Burren College of Art. She has been a regular exhibitor at The Paul Kane Gallery in Dublin, and her work has been exhibited as part of Cork European City of Culture at the Crawford Gallery of Art, as well as at the Hun Gallery, New York, Emerge Art Fair in Washington DC, and the Irish Museum of Contemporary Art, Dublin.
She has twice been the premier selectee for the Kerry Visual Artists’ Showcase at the Dept of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, and her work also recently featured in 30 Years, Artists, Places, a major survey exhibition of Irish Art which toured nationwide from 2015 – 2017.
