This is a hands-on workshop where you will get to make your own raw cows milk cheese under the guidance of Silke Cropp from Corleggy.
The class will start with a light lunch, followed by the cheese making.
You will need to bring a bucket big enough to hold 10L of milk (with a little more room for sloshing) and an apron if you have one.
From the 10L of raw cows milk you will make a small soft cheese and 1Kg of hard cheese. The soft cheese you will take home with you on the day and the hard cheese will remain to be pressed for longer. You will be able to pick this up after a few days from the Fumbally or from Silke’s cheese stall at the Saturday Temple Bar Market.
All participants will take home print-outs on the cheese making process. Class size is limited to 10 people.
