This dinner is a collaboration of Japanese and Irish influences between two of Ireland’s most creative and passionate chefs.

About Takashi Miyazaki

A native of Fukuoka Japan, Takashi is the owner and head chef in Miyazaki restaurant in Cork.

Takashi’s 20 years Japanese cooking experience includes catering for heads of state and celebrities, and holding number of head chef positions in both Japan and Ireland. Takashi was named “Chef of the Year 2015″ by John and Sally of The McKenna’s Guide. He is an advocate for Japanese cooking here in Ireland and his aim for Miyazaki is simple:

There are so many types of Japanese food. It is like a treasure box. I want people to enjoy the real flavours of Japan.

ABOUT KATIE SANDERSON

Katie’s passion for food was first sparked when she received a plastic kitchen set as a gift at the age of four. Growing up and learning about cooking in Hong Kong, her passion quickly developed into a multidimensional career that has already established her as a pioneer of creative and collaborative food-based projects around Ireland and abroad.
