- Atlantic Film Screening
June 9, 2016
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Three Countries, Two Resources, One Choice
Narrated by Brendan Gleeson, Risteard Ó Dohmnaill’s ATLANTIC is a fascinating and somewhat emotional account of three small fishing villages in Ireland, Newfoundland and Norway and the challenges they have faced over the past number of decades. This is about fish and it is about oil, but it is also about our ancestral heritage and opening our eyes to what is happening around us.
It is an entirely necessary documentary that needs to be seen by anyone who cares about our oceans and their exploitation. Beautifully shot and entirely self/crowd funded it is a documentary worthy of its International praise.
This screening in The Fumbally Stables will be followed by a Q&A with the director Risteard Ó Dohmnaill. There will also be some light food bites prepared by the Fumbally Crew.
