fermentation exploration

We’re experimenting with a lot of fermentation in the kitchen at the moment.  Its something that we started to play around with about a year ago, a simple sauerkraut was the first thing we ever did. We now make:

kombucha
kefir
ginger bugs
sourdough
fermented red cabbage
sauerkraut
kimchi
all sorts of pickles & brined vegetables
coconut yoghurt
dairy yoghurt
apple vinegar
damson vinegar
salted plums

……and we still haven’t REALLY begun to explore the world of fermentation.

 

Its like learning how to cook all over again.
